About our studio

We reshape clothing for better fit, new life, and lasting use. Every project starts with a careful look at the garment and what it can become.

Remodelling garments with care

Stitch Savvy works with alterations, redesign, and upcycling for people who want to keep and rewear what they already own. From vintage pieces to sentimental favourites, we approach each garment with attention to construction, fabric, and fit.

Our process is clear from the first inquiry through assessment, concept approval, and finished review. We provide realistic guidance on what is possible before any work begins, so you know how the garment will be handled.

What we value

The principles behind our work

Our work is shaped by careful review, honest guidance, and a strong respect for the garments people bring to us.

1

Clear assessment

We assess each garment before quoting, because fabric, condition, seam allowances, and construction all affect what can be done.

2

Thoughtful redesign

We keep the design process practical and collaborative, with concept approval before remodelling work begins.

3

Written details

We provide written alteration scope and care notes so you know what was changed and how to look after the finished piece.

4

Appointment-led service

We work by appointment in Bergen, with fitting and collection handled in a way that keeps the process orderly and personal.

Our story

How Stitch Savvy began

Built around thoughtful alterations and garment reuse, our studio focuses on practical changes that respect the original item while making it more wearable.

The studio was founded in 2021 by Sofia Larsen with a focus on clothing that deserves a second chapter. That includes redesigning dresses and skirts, restyling shirts and jackets, and updating the fit of vintage garments.

We also take on fabric-reuse accessory projects when the original garment has more to give than a simple alteration. Depending on the material and construction, a redesign may need to be adapted to what can be safely reused.

Every project is reviewed before a quote is confirmed, and the final scope is agreed in writing. That keeps the work transparent and helps set clear expectations from the start.
